Speciality: Fire Magic, crafting the ever-popular lightglobes–Artifacts used to illuminate the homes of those who can afford them–fire-healing spells, fire-protection spells, and working with metal, ceramics, and glass.  Koranen is so closely entwined with fire that he literally ‘heats up’ at times, and has been known to turn non-warded clothing into charred wisps if he isn’t careful.
Personality: Friendly, easy-going, at times eager to help, Koranen is the youngest-minded of the brothers, though not the youngest-by-birth.  He loves his brothers, loves his work, and loves the freedom of being far from disapproving eyes, even if it means being exiled to a distand island.  Kor knows that, until the right one comes along, it just isn’t a good idea for a woman to spend time with a man who literally burns with passion…so of all his brothers, the seventh-born has adjusted most easily to a life lived without women.

“You’re insane!  I’m still mucky from slogging through the pipes, no one knows where we are, we’re trapped down here with no food and no way out, and you think this is a date?”

Speciality: Water Magic, fully trained and highest-ranked member of the Aquamancy Guild. Danau helps to maintain the city’s hydrostatic barriers, oversees water desalination, and backs up the Wavescouts in matters of security. She is also the nearest possible candidate for the Guardianship of Menomon, next to Guardian Sheren, though she knows she isn’t strong enough right now to take on the job long-term.
Personality: After her one prior attempt at a relationship turned into a disaster, making her something of a social pariah, work is all Danau has left. It is her satisfaction and her pride. Having to work with her spiteful cousin Reuen irks Danau, as does Reuen’s best friend and fellow Aquamancer Chana, but at least Danau gets along with the fourth member of their investigation team, the sweet-natured Ama-ti. She doesn’t mind interacting with surface-dwellers, but knows that her home city is counting on her and the other three Aquamancers to bring back a solution to their freshwater problems as soon as possible.
